Reelstory

From the makers of Youzigndezygn

Turn any page of a local business's website into a 3D animated story ad.

Paste their services page, their FAQ or a blog post. Reelstory turns one tip from that page into a 30-second animated film where their customer is the hero and the business shows the way, ending on their name and phone number. It also looks for the owner's email and writes your pitch.

What people say about our products

Reelstory is launching now. The two customers below are talking about Reelocal, our local-business video app from the same team, not about Reelstory. We only show what holds for any of our Reel apps.

Every day

You know local businesses need video. They don't know what yours would look like.

You write to local businesses. A plumber across town, a dentist, a roofer two villages over. You tell them you make videos, and you ask whether they would be interested.

"Hi, I make short videos for local businesses. Would you be interested?"

Most of them never answer. The few who do ask the same questions. What would it look like? Would you need to come and film? Do we need good photos? How much of my time would it take?

Your message asks them to imagine a video before they have seen one, and a busy owner with a van to load doesn't have time to imagine anything.

Illustration: at night, a freelancer rests her chin on her hand while her unanswered emails drift away from her laptop

Until one day

You find the page nobody reads.

You are on a plumber's website, and under the services there is a page called "What to do before we arrive". It has four good tips on it: where to shut off the water, what to switch off, what to move out of the way, and what to photograph for the insurance.

It is useful, and almost nobody will ever read it. But a homeowner standing in a wet kitchen would watch it in a heartbeat, if it came as a 30-second film.

Illustration: the freelancer's eyes light up as a page lifts out of her laptop and unfolds into tiny scenes, a house, a drop of water and a wrench

Because of that

You ask first, and he says "show me".

So you write the owner a short note, with no attachment and no link. You tell him you noticed his "before we arrive" page, that you make short animated ads from pages like it, and you ask whether he'd like to see one made from his.

He replies the same afternoon:

"Sure, show me."

Illustration: the freelancer gasps with delight as a reply pops up on her phone

Because of that

You paste his page into Reelstory.

Reelstory reads the page, keeps only the facts it finds there, and writes a short story. A homeowner in slippers finds water spreading across the kitchen floor and panics. Then, one tip at a time, she calms it all down: the valve, the power, the towels, the photos. The water stops, and the plumber's van pulls up at the door with his name and phone number filling the screen.

The character is an original cartoon, the voice is warm and clear, and every word she hears comes from his own page. You check the facts, watch it once with the sound on, and send it to him, one-to-one, from your own email.

Illustration: a page of text floating in a lavender sky turns into a ribbon of film frames, with a music note and a microphone beside it

Until finally

He writes back with a question you can quote on.

"I like this. Could you make one about boiler servicing? What would that cost?"

You didn't have to explain what you make, because he has just watched it. Now the conversation is about which ad comes next.

Illustrative story. Replies, clients and income depend on your market, your offer and your effort.

The moral of the story

In that story, you were the hero, and the ad was the guide.

That is how every Reelstory ad is built.

The hero

The business's customer is the hero, with a small, familiar problem.

The guide

The business is the guide, with a plan taken straight from its own website.

The ending

The ending is something the viewer can see: the water stopped, the boiler humming, the inspection passed.

The business appears at the end, with its name and phone number, as the one who knew what to do.

A story like that gets watched to the end more easily than a list of services, and it makes the business look like the expert in its own town. You can make one for any local business with a website, because every website explains something.

Proof before pitch

Ask with a short note first. Then show them their ad.

We call this Proof Before Pitch: show a business what you can make by making a sample for them, before you ask for the job. With Reelstory we do it in two steps.

Step one, the short note.

Write a few lines to the owner with no attachment and no link. Name something real from their website, say what you make, and offer to make one for them for free. The note only has one job, which is to get a reply.

Step two, the ad.

When the owner says "show me", make their Reelstory ad from their own page and send it to them, one-to-one, from your own email. Now they are watching a finished ad about their own business, which answers every question your first message couldn't.

This keeps your credits for owners who asked to see something, and it keeps your emails short and personal, which is how one person writes to another. If you already know the owner, or they are already your client, you can skip the note and show them the ad.

You · to the ownerSubject: your "before we arrive" page

Hi Dave, I read your "What to do before we arrive" page and it's genuinely useful. I make short animated ads from pages like it, with your name and number at the end. Would you like me to make one from yours? No charge.

Dave, plumber · to you

Sure, show me.

You · to Dave

Here it is, made from your page: [link to their ad]. Would you use it on Facebook or on your Google profile?

Illustrative conversation.

The cost of making a sample

An animated ad used to mean a studio, a script and a few weeks.

Making a short animated ad by hand means reading the business's site, choosing what to teach, writing a script, designing a character, drawing or generating the scenes, animating them, recording a voice, timing the words, adding music and building an end card with the business's details.

That is a lot of work to do before you know whether the owner is even interested. Repeat it for five businesses and you have taken on five production jobs before winning a paying client. Hiring an animator for each sample costs money you haven't earned yet.

Reelstory does that production inside one tool. It reads the page, writes the story from the facts on it, creates an original character and the scenes around them, animates them, and adds the voice, music, moving type and the end card. You review the story and the facts, then make the ad.

From page to ad

This page became this animated story.

This sample was made from one page of a garage door company's website in Oklahoma City. Read the page, look at the story Reelstory built from it, then play the ad with the sound on.

The page on their website

affordabledoorco.com/answers/garage-door-wont-close-sunny-day/

Garage door won't close on a sunny day?

Direct sunlight overwhelming one of the photo-eye safety sensors is the usual culprit.

Swap the sensors side to side. Only the receiver can be blinded.

A short length of PVC pipe, a purpose-made hood... Clean the lenses with a soft dry cloth.

Tilting the receiver a few degrees downward or inward... Both indicator LEDs should glow steady when aligned.

Excerpts from the page. The highlighted sentences are the facts the ad teaches.

Garage door won't close at dinnertime? Marcus just wants to lock up and eat dinner. But the low evening sun blinds one safety sensor. Swap the two sensors, so the sun hits the sender instead. Shade the lens with a short pipe and wipe the dust. Then tilt it until both lights glow steady. The door closes, sunset or not. Affordable Door Co, Oklahoma City. Call (405) 247-0336.

Paste a page, check the story, make the ad.

  1. 01

Paste a page from their website

Their services page, their FAQ, a blog post or a "how it works" page. Reelstory reads it and pulls out the facts it can teach, plus the business's name, phone number and town for the end card.

  2. 02

    Check the story

Reelstory proposes three angles that fit the page, such as "3 things to know before…" or "Before the plumber arrives". You pick one, and it writes the story: who the hero is, what they want, what goes wrong and how the business's advice fixes it. Read the facts and the script and change anything you like. Your own edits are free.

  3. 03

    Make the ad

Reelstory creates an original 3D cartoon character and the scenes around them, animates them, and adds the voice, music, moving type and an end card with the business's name and phone number. Make a sample to show the owner, and the HD version when they pay. Both are full vertical HD video at 1080 by 1920; the HD version has sharper animated scenes.

  4. 04

    Send it to the owner

Reelstory looks for the owner's email and writes a short pitch to go with the ad. You review it and send it from your own email, one-to-one.

About 10 minutes from page to finished ad: reading the page takes 1 to 3 minutes, writing the story about 1 minute and the render 6 to 8 minutes.

Story angles

Every business has more than one story to tell.

A plumber can have an ad about what to do before they arrive this month, and one about the three mistakes people make with a frozen pipe next month. Reelstory knows six types of story. For each page it picks the three that fit best and you choose one. Here are the six types:

  • "3 things to know before…"

The hero is about to make a decision, and the business's three tips save her from the usual mistakes.

  • Myth vs reality.

The hero believes something everyone believes, it goes wrong, and the business sets the record straight.

  • "Before the [trade] arrives."

An emergency, then the few simple things to do while help is on the way.

  • How it actually works.

The hero is confused by a service, and it turns out to be simpler than it looks, in three steps.

  • When is it required?

The hero is about to sell, rent or renovate, and learns when an inspection or a check is needed.

  • What does it cost, and why?

Only when the business's own page explains its prices or what they depend on.

You see the story and the script before anything is rendered, so you can fix a detail, change the end card or ask Reelstory for a new version first. Each finished ad is an MP4 you can download and deliver. Changes after that need another render and use more credits.

Facts from their page only

The story is fiction. The facts are theirs.

The homeowner, the wet kitchen and the slippers are illustration. Everything the ad states as a fact (a tip, a rule, a price, a phone number) comes from the business's own page, and Reelstory shows you the facts it used so you can check them before you make the ad. If their page doesn't say it, the ad doesn't say it. For health, legal and money businesses, keep to exactly what their page says.

Contact details included

Reelstory also looks for the business owner's email.

An ad only helps if you can get it to someone at the business. For every ad you make, Reelstory searches for the business's contact emails and puts personal addresses for an owner, founder or manager first, with their verification status. It also writes a short pitch to go with the ad.

Owner emails aren't always available. You may get another business contact or no result, so check the business's contact page before you send.

Commercial use included

Use the ad to offer paid animated ads to the business.

Build a portfolio before you have clients.

Your first prospect will want to see examples. Make a few sample ads for different trades, from real business websites, and put them on one page you can link. When you talk to a roofer, you can show a roofer's ad. The portfolio guide walks you through it in two days, and shows you how to label every ad as a sample.

Add animated ads to the services you already sell.

If you build websites, run Google profiles or manage social media for local businesses, you already know their services, their customers and the person who pays. Make an ad from a page you wrote for them, and offer it alongside the work you already do.

Offer one ad, or a new one every month.

Every business has more than one thing to teach, and every season brings a new one: the frozen pipes in winter, the air-conditioning check before summer, the gutter cleaning in autumn. That gives you a natural reason to offer a new ad every month. The pricing playbook includes a suggested price sheet and the words to use when an owner asks "how much?".

Suggested prices
$197

One ad

One 30-second animated ad from one page of their site, in HD, with one round of changes.

$247 a month

Two ads a month

For businesses that post every week or run ads for more than one service.

These prices are suggestions, not earnings promises. Change them to fit your market. Exported ads carry no Reelstory branding, and you can deliver the files to your clients.

If you own a local business yourself, you can make these ads from your own website too.

Not only in English

The ad speaks the business's language.

Reelstory makes ads in English and in French. When the business's website is in French, the voice and the words on screen are French, with a Belgian voice; every other website gets an English ad. Before launch I tested the idea on three trades in Brussels, a plumber, a heating engineer and an electrician, in French, and every fact in those ads came from their own pages.

Bertrand

A note from Bertrand

From the team behind Youzign and dezygn.

BertrandMaker of Youzign, dezygn, Reelocal, Reelshop & Reelstory

I'm Bertrand, a software maker from a small village in Belgium. You may know me from Youzign or dezygn. I also sell AI visuals to clients, mostly on Upwork. When I sent proposals the usual way, I sent 63 and got 2 hires. When I started attaching samples I had already made for the client's own product, I got 1 hire from 6.

Making a sample takes time, though, and an animated one takes the most. I built Reelocal to make video samples for local businesses from the photos on their websites. Reelstory is for the businesses whose photos aren't good enough, which is a lot of them, and for the owners who would rather look like the expert than show their van one more time. All it needs is a page of their website that explains something, and every business has one.

270,000+ designers have joined Youzign since 2014.

Your purchase includes six downloadable guides covering the work around the ad: finding the right businesses, writing to them, building a portfolio, quoting and following up.

01 · Finding & approaching clients

The Client-Getting Machine, Animated Ad Edition

Which local trades to start with, how to spot a business whose website has a page worth teaching, and how to reach the owner with a short first note that asks one small question.

You get the first notes, the day 3 and day 7 follow-ups, the message that goes with the ad once the owner says "show me", and what to say when they ask the price, say they already have someone, or ask whether it's AI.

Included with your purchase

02 · Build your first portfolio

Zero To Portfolio In 48 Hours, Animated Ad Edition

A two-day plan for making sample ads for different trades with your included credits and putting them on one page you can link from any email.

Which pages to paste so the set shows range, how to check every fact before you render, and how to label each ad as a sample so nobody mistakes it for paid work or thinks the business endorsed it.

Included with your purchase

03 · Answering "how much?"

The One Ad To Monthly Ad Pricing Playbook

How to quote one ad, a new ad every month and two ads a month, what each one includes, and how to answer "how much?" by describing the ad before you name a number.

With a one-page proposal, an agreement, an invoice and the path from one sample to a business that gets a new ad from you every month.

Included with your purchase

04 · Knowing what to make

The 50-Niche Story Angle Vault

Fifty local business types, from plumbers, roofers and HVAC to dentists, vets, salons and accountants. For each one, the page to look for on their site, the story angle that fits it, and the hook, the lesson and the call to action.

Every angle uses only what the business's own page says, so your ads don't all sound the same and never say more than the business does.

Included with your purchase

05 · Plan your first month

The 30-Day First Client Calendar

A day-by-day plan for your first month: when to build your portfolio, how many owners to write to each day, when each follow-up goes out, and when to make and send the ad.

Built around the credits included with your purchase, so the plan never asks you to buy more before an owner has replied.

Included with your purchase

06 · Find interested owners

The 2026 Cold Email Playbook, Local Edition

My own cold email method with my real numbers: a tool called Explee finds the business owners and sends short text emails from pre-warmed mailboxes, and you only make the ad for the owners who reply.

Explee is a paid third-party tool, about $0.03 to $0.04 per email, and it is not included in Reelstory. The numbers in the guide come from my own AI product photography campaigns, not from Reelstory ads, which I have not run with this method yet.

The full setup for local service businesses, step by step, with a campaign for plumbers, HVAC companies and electricians ready to paste, the daily budget, and what to do in your first two weeks.

Included with your purchase

All six guides are included with your purchase. Download them from your account and use the scripts, price sheet and schedules as you build your animated ad service.

One shared balance

Make your samples and client ads from one 500-credit balance.

Each sample lets you show a different business what you can make for them. Reelstory handles the story, the character, the animation, the voice, the music and the end card, so you can spend your time choosing businesses, checking the facts and talking to the owners.

You get lifetime access to Reelstory and 500 credits that do not expire. Each ad's credits cover everything from the page to the finished file: reading the page, the facts, three story angles, the first story and the render. If the page can't carry a story, the credits come back. Each AI rewrite of the story uses 5 credits. Your own edits to the script and the end card, the owner email search and the pitch are free. If you own Reelocal or Reelshop, it's the same login and one shared credit balance, so the credits in your account work in Reelstory too.

Sample or HD? Both are full vertical HD video at 1080 by 1920. The HD ad has sharper animated scenes, because its animated clips are made at 768p instead of 480p before the finish. A sample costs 20 credits and an HD ad 30.

One shared balance. Mix them as you need. Send the sample, and render HD when the business pays you. Every new render, including a revision, uses credits. Downloading a finished file again does not. When you run out, you can buy more credits in your account: 200 credits for $39 (10 samples or 6 HD ads), 500 for $67 (25 samples or 16 HD ads) or 1,000 for $119 (50 samples or 33 HD ads).

Try Reelstory for 30 days. Get a full refund if it isn't for you.

Make a few ads and send them to the owners who asked to see one. If Reelstory isn't for you, email support@youzign.com within 30 days of purchase and we will refund every cent.

You can also ask for a refund before making or sending any ads. The guarantee has no usage requirement. One email is enough.

Before you get started

FAQ

Can I do this without clients or animation experience?

Yes. You paste a page from a business's website and review the story and the facts before rendering. There is no timeline editor and nothing to draw. The portfolio guide helps you build samples before you have client work to show.

Do I need good photos from the business?

No. Reelstory creates an original 3D cartoon character and the scenes around them, so it works for businesses whose photos are poor or missing. It only needs a page that explains something, and the business's name and phone number for the end card.

Is the character a real person?

No. Every character is an original cartoon made for that ad. Reelstory never uses a real person's likeness, a celebrity or an existing cartoon character.

Where do the facts in the ad come from?

Only from the page you paste. The story around them (the hero, the mishaps, the happy ending) is illustration, and it is shown, never stated as a claim. Reelstory shows you the facts it used so you can check them before you render. Read them every time, because AI output can make mistakes and you are the one sending the ad.

Does it work in other languages?

In French, yes. When the business's website is in French, Reelstory writes the story, the voice-over and the words on screen in French, with a Belgian voice. Every other website gets an English ad for now. Before launch I made ads for a Brussels plumber, a heating engineer and an electrician in French, from their French-language pages.

Is it allowed to email a business?

In the US, sending a business a one-to-one email about a relevant service is allowed under the CAN-SPAM rules, as long as you are honest about who you are, your subject line isn't misleading, you include your postal address and a clear way to opt out, and you stop when someone asks you to. Other countries have their own rules, so check the ones that apply where you send. Reelstory doesn't send email. You write to each owner yourself, one at a time, and the Cold Email Playbook shows you how to start with a short text note and only send the ad to owners who asked to see it.

What if they say no?

Thank them and move on. With the two-step method you only make an ad after an owner says "show me", so a "no" to your first note costs you nothing but the note. If they say no after seeing their ad, ask whether another topic would be more useful, and if not, leave it there. Don't post an ad of their business anywhere public without their permission.

What can I sell with Reelstory?

You can sell the ads you make: a single ad, a new ad every month, or whatever you agree with a client. Commercial use is included and exports carry no Reelstory branding. Get the business's agreement before you deliver paid work or publish anything.

Is this a one-time payment?

Yes. $67 during the launch, then $97. It buys lifetime access, 500 credits that don't expire and all six guides. You can buy more credits when you need them, and keeping your access never requires a subscription.

How many ads do my 500 credits make?

A 30-second sample at 480p uses 20 credits, and a 30-second HD ad at 768p uses 30, reading the page and writing the first story included. Your 500 credits make up to 25 samples or up to 16 HD ads, or a mix of both from the same balance. Every new render, including a revision, uses credits. Both are full vertical HD video at 1080 by 1920. The HD ad has sharper animated scenes, because its animated clips are made at 768p instead of 480p before the finish.

Can I change the ad after it's made?

Before rendering, you can edit the script and the end card for free, and ask Reelstory for up to four new versions of the story, which use 5 credits each. After the render, a change needs a new render and uses credits again. Downloading a finished file again is free.

I own Reelocal or Reelshop. Is Reelstory included?

No, Reelstory is a separate app. You use the same login, and your credits work in every Reel app you own, so the credits you have left in Reelocal or Reelshop make Reelstory ads too.

Does it find businesses and send the emails for me?

It looks for the owner's email for every ad you make, and it writes a pitch for each ad. You review it and send it yourself. Reelstory doesn't send cold email or handle replies. Prospect Finder, an optional upgrade, can search a city and a type of business for you.

Do I need Prospect Finder to use this?

No. Paste websites directly and download your ads with the front-end purchase. Prospect Finder credits are an optional upgrade.

Is there a free trial?

There is no free trial. Watch the sample ads on this page to judge the output. Your purchase is covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee.

What if Reelstory is not for me?

Email support@youzign.com within 30 days of your purchase and ask for a refund. You don't need to have used it.
